scumfest was pretty goddamn fun. it started out horribly awkward because i have zero social skills and i saw about a half dozen people i know, but at the same time dont really know. so i'd wave or say hi and then just stand there in park not knowing what to say until they left the vicinity. however. i drank enough pbr and high life to overcome my social anxiety and i got down with some buddies. two of the bands i wanted to see most played before i got there and i was pretty pissed off, but the rest of the bands, especially the touring bands played great sets. after the show, karl and i put our balls together and we talked to some girls in the parking lot. the rest of his band tried to scam on our action, but the girls knew we were the two sweetest dudes in town for sure.

hi all. i've decided to return to the world of (near) daily blogging. mainly i suppose because i like hearing myself think. i write in my myspace blog when i have something profound to say, but those moments are few and far between these days, and i like being able to write about more trivial matters and my day to day goings on. i logged into my livejournal this week for the first time in over two years thinking i would just resume writing in there. i posted one entry then decided it was just too out of date. the colors, the title, the old entries. just wasn't me anymore.

i'm currently at work. i volunteered to work today. thats just the kind of guy i am. actually, i like working saturdays because i can slack off extra hard and i get a day off during the week and i usually accomplish more on an off weekday than weekend.

i'm going to scumfest tonight. tomorrow i plan to order two cds (
1 2), go see drag me to hell, have band practice, and probably wind down watching another movie. my aforementioned day off this week is tuesday, and i need- NEED- to get my oil changed. its a brand new car and i've got nearly 6k miles on it. i either forget about it, or when i remember, i dont have the time. i'll probably also use that day to talk to some venues about getting model citizen some badass shows to play this summer. we've have two so far and thats probably at least six too few. anyone wanna have a basement show?

i don't normally break my entries into paragraphs, but the mish mash of subjects was too much for even me, so i thought i would excuse you, the viewer, from such tripe. you're welcome.
