strolled into work this morning and everyone there chimes in that the phones and computers are down. i immediately start grinning from ear to ear at the thought of doing nothing all day but play free cell and listen to tunes on my mp3. then my dream was immediately crushed because they sent my entire shift home without pay for an hour. they couldn't even give me two hours so i could watch a movie, nope, just one. so i came home, loaded the dishwasher, paid my bills and rent, and now here i sit conversing (albeit one sidedly) with you fine folks. i haven't done a whole lot of updating recently so let's play catch up, shall we? several weeks ago i decided to completely give up on dating. i was dead set on months and months of singledom. then my best friend moved back to stl from chicago, and i realized i wasn't interested in other girls anymore because i was stark raving mad about her. so i kissed her, and now we're together. who knew. my birthday is in a couple weeks. i plan to celebrate by renting a car and getting completely shitty. or possibly vice versa. i guess that's it. who's ready to blow shit up on saturday?! i know i am!

last night i learned that it's possible to get drunk enough to ask someone to punch you in the face and give you a black eye.

it's raining. i've mentioned before that i like summer rain. but that's neither here nor there. you know how if you work in a store or restaurant or any place that requires face to face interaction, if it's raining, you're going to be slow? well, i work in a call center. so no matter how much rain, lightning, or hellfire is falling from the sky, it's monday, so we're going to be busy as fuck.

all i want to do is stay up listening to music and chatting with katie. too bad i have a ten hour work day tomorrow that's going to kill all of my fun real soon.

i had a pretty nice day today. i dont remember why though. i was really tired, but i was practically pissing sunshine at lunchtime for some reason. i'm currently enjoying the sounds of summer rainfall, which i like. anyway, since i'm a bozo who can't remember the things i need to do for the life of me, i present to you:

jeff's to-do list (tonight and the rest of the week)
make dinner
put away laundry
load dishwasher
burn cds for alison
finalize tattoo designs
get tattoos (tomorrow at 5!)
email venues and get shows for my band
write lyrics to ripping model citizen songs, both old and new

i'm at a loss as to why i can't underline in this blog, thus resorting to italicizing the heading of my to-do list. i plan to make better use of this blog in the near future. fret not, baby birds.

is it lame that i write myself notes of things i need to do/look up on the internet? one of those notes was to tell you all that i read in cosmo this morning that astrological matches are ryan reynolds and robert pattinson. don't get much better than that.

so for almost two years, i've been getting these surveys in my email at work that are supposed to earn me rewards and i pretty much just ignored them figuring it would never pay. then last week, i filled out a couple for whatever reason and saw that i was building up $$$ rather quickly. so i've done a bunch since then and today i cashed in for $15 worth of borders store credit. batman graphic novels here i come!
the high today in my fair city is only 63, and i awoke to find the a/c in our house set at a very frosty 66. is that really necessary?? it doesn't even need to be set that low when it's 80 out. anyway. i had a very successful day off yesterday. i slept for nine and a half hours. i got the oil changed in my car. i bought some new shorts. i saw up, which was very entertaining and also very touching. aaron and i wrote a new song. i went running. and then i finished my day by watching defiance. should hopefully be a good and quick second half to the week and i'm looking forward to a fun filled weekend. if everything goes as planned, i'll have both of my wrists tatted by monday. time for work.

scumfest was pretty goddamn fun. it started out horribly awkward because i have zero social skills and i saw about a half dozen people i know, but at the same time dont really know. so i'd wave or say hi and then just stand there in park not knowing what to say until they left the vicinity. however. i drank enough pbr and high life to overcome my social anxiety and i got down with some buddies. two of the bands i wanted to see most played before i got there and i was pretty pissed off, but the rest of the bands, especially the touring bands played great sets. after the show, karl and i put our balls together and we talked to some girls in the parking lot. the rest of his band tried to scam on our action, but the girls knew we were the two sweetest dudes in town for sure.

hi all. i've decided to return to the world of (near) daily blogging. mainly i suppose because i like hearing myself think. i write in my myspace blog when i have something profound to say, but those moments are few and far between these days, and i like being able to write about more trivial matters and my day to day goings on. i logged into my livejournal this week for the first time in over two years thinking i would just resume writing in there. i posted one entry then decided it was just too out of date. the colors, the title, the old entries. just wasn't me anymore.

i'm currently at work. i volunteered to work today. thats just the kind of guy i am. actually, i like working saturdays because i can slack off extra hard and i get a day off during the week and i usually accomplish more on an off weekday than weekend.

i'm going to scumfest tonight. tomorrow i plan to order two cds (
1 2), go see drag me to hell, have band practice, and probably wind down watching another movie. my aforementioned day off this week is tuesday, and i need- NEED- to get my oil changed. its a brand new car and i've got nearly 6k miles on it. i either forget about it, or when i remember, i dont have the time. i'll probably also use that day to talk to some venues about getting model citizen some badass shows to play this summer. we've have two so far and thats probably at least six too few. anyone wanna have a basement show?

i don't normally break my entries into paragraphs, but the mish mash of subjects was too much for even me, so i thought i would excuse you, the viewer, from such tripe. you're welcome.
